A post of undeath..

Okay..well really just a post letting you all know I am not dead yet.

Just rather busy and not really coherent enough to make a blog post about my goings on.

I did finally finish reading that book....about a day before it was due to the library and could not be renewed do to a request made on it. I have my own request in for the second book of the series now and that is about 2 or 3 in the queue. Hopefully whoever is reading it right now, respects the due date and returns it so I can get my greedy little hands on it and continue the story.

Although now that I have no book to read, my nails are thanking me.

I am a habitual nail biter. Although I have stopped for the most part for about 3 or 4 years now. I say I am still a nail biter, because I don't think it is something that totally goes away. Like....when reading a book..lets say..

I become so engrossed in a book, I do not realize my hand has reached my mouth. I realize it after and curse myself for it, but the damage at that point is already done.

I suppose I could not get as involved in the book to keep a better track of those fingers of mine, but somehow it just loses the point and fun of reading. I like to get engrossed in a story.

Mr. Bookeater husband of mine has gone through most of his older things, so has resorted to mine. For this I cheer! He will finally be able to realize the world of Dirk Pitt and Numa and become a devoted stalker....errr...I mean fan of Clive Cussler. ( I have similarly converted The Maven to this writer that seems to take you on an absolutely wonderfully fun romp through the adventures of a dashing, handsome, witty hero and his friend.)

Uhhh....He's a good writer..just take our word for it. *chuckles* I was in Chapters the other day and noticed there was a new novel of this bunch and almost started drooling. It was freaking out my friend a little bit I think.

My reaching out to snatch the book from the shelf it rested on, the loving scan of the front cover to confirm that it was -indeed- a Dirk Pitt novel, the caressing hand as I turned the book over to devour the brief glimpse into the next world Cussler would unlock for us. Then..the hungry filled eyes darted down to the price tag.. $13.95! (Which when you are a stay at home mom, with a husband not currently working, is a hefty amount). My dismay and my regret when I put the book back.

Okay...so my friend was looking at me a little oddly after that...and rightly so I suppose.

Ah well..when Maven gets it or my mom does...I will get have you my pretty! *cackles*

*end ramble*
